  • I joined Wantagh Levittown as a cadet in December 1976, primarily to compete on the drill team. After completing training I went on my first call in the spring of 1977, we brought a sweet elderly lady to the hospital on a direct admit, after putting her in the bed she took my hand and said thank you and God bless you - that was all it took. So truthfully I’m a member for purely selfish reasons, I love the satisfaction you get from helping people in need, it makes me feel good.
